Welcome to our Parish Website

 

We try to be welcoming, open, inclusive and friendly community churches. We are in the catholic tradition of the Church of England, and we support the ministry of all.   You are very welcome.

 Bookings and enquiries are made on Sunday mornings at either:

                  St Giles' Church       (after the 10am Mass) 

         or      St Matthew's Church (after the 11am Mass).

    For application for

·        Baptisms (for children)

·        publication of Banns of Marriage please email Parish Office.

       (if you are intending to marry in another church but live in our parish)   

·        Weddings please attend the services as above and ask for an 

                                                                       enquiry form.

  

Please note that to Marry in The Church of England :

·        One of the party (the bride or groom to be) must live in our parish

            and

·        If either of you are a foreign national (that means not British or a European Union Citizen) you will need either ‘Indefinite Leave to remain’, or a ‘certificate of Approval to Marry’ from The Home Office

·        Please check that you fulfil these conditions, and then come to either church on  a Sunday morning (St Giles’ at 10am, or St Matthew’s at 11am )  and  after the service leave your details in our enquiry form.

·        You can find out about ‘Certificate of Approval to Marry’ from the Home Office Website
